2010-12-31 17:23:24 It depends what you're looking for. There's huge diversity among "tablets." There are devices like the iPad and Galaxy Tab, which aren't really tablet PC's, there are slates like the HP Slate 500, which are relatively young and don't pack a lot of power but have a load of potential (Asus and others will be venturing down this line in 2011), and then there are real tablet PC's which are convertible notebooks like the HP TM2/Elitebook, Fujitsu Notebooks, and Lenovo X201T. All of these devices appeal to different people. |

2011-01-01 19:02:13 I got an "El cheapo" Chinese Android tablet a couple of months ago and even though it functioned fine, after getting over the initital "new gagdet fun" period, I always found myself either grabbing my laptop, or my smartphone. I just can't find a use/the added value for a tablet atm to go wth my 13 inch laptop and 4,3 inch smartphone. --- |

2011-01-02 07:21:46 A little off topic( ok a lot), but does anyone know of any free registry clean up software. Actually free and not a free scan with a required update to fix anything? My computer is giving me a lot of shit right now. I can't even run Zbrush because it says It can't find my license server dll. Pixologic doesn't know how to fix it, but the forums had a method that didn't work for me.... --- |

2011-01-03 16:06:53 CCleaner has always done the job for me. Run it several times to clear up the loose ends each run creates. |

2011-05-02 02:04:06 I've always said I wouldn't buy some tablet, because "it's a expensive and big cellphone". I got one from a "High Stakes-like" competition and was happy about it, it cost me nothing. So, after a month of having a Galaxy Tab GT-P1000, I have to say it's really good for me, since I travel monthly, I take almost 9 hours to get from one point to the other, so having a Tablet is pretty handy when looking for new e-mails, browsing the net and seeing movies. BUT, (yes, there's a but)when I'm "stuck" for a month, I don't have much use for it, I play some games, draw something in AutoCAD, browse the net in some boring classes...and that's pretty much it. --- |
