yeh, i would say the demos on Marketplace are pretty disappointing for this this years E3

i was hoping for something exiting like maybe StreetFighter, or Brothers In Arms, or Far Cry...anything.

yeah, what i've never understood about E3 or any games show thing. is if they have demo's on show, as long as they're stable enough (which a lot of them are) why not just release the same demo to everyone?

After the disapointing demo of Turning Point, I think that publishers quickly made their mind about the subject and decided not to release any demo of the game after it has shipped to stores, so it doesn't hurt sales.
It is sad but it is the way it is. I would have loved to have a RE5 demo. I remember when Capcom relased a demo of Lost Planet at E3 2006. Shame on you Capcom.

Developers should also look at Too Human. That demo will actually increase sales I reckon, because a lot of people have played it and thought "hey, that's not as bad as everyone was making out".

Therefore, it doesn't look like publishers will release a demo unless they feel it's necessary to do so.

too human demo also has put a LOT of people off as well. its a hit and miss situation releasing a demo. as long as the game is good tho then it shouldnt be an issue. i mean, that killzone demo seemed stable enough, as did a lot of them in fact. and they all looked decent, i dont think it'd hurt sales much tbh. not if its clearly marked as an unfinished, pre-alpha E3 demo (or whatever it may be)

I'd say the Too Human demo improved the game's reputation more than it hindered it.
i disagree, from what i've seen outside of this place. people generally disslike it. but who knows. sales will tell us i guess

And from what I have seen, people generally seem to like it.
You can't put a count on how many likes them or not, there are tons of gamers out there who likes and dislikes.

exactly, thats why i said sales will tell us whats what when its released. the forum i rugular the most not a single person liked it tho. sames goes for most places i've been. this is the only place where the opinion seems evenly split. we'll see come november? tho.

Too Human is a hit or miss, and about the demo same thing. I played the demo more than 10 times and I still can't get enough but I want more loot and upgrades!

I have tried the Tales of Vesperia demo, and is shapping really well.
Jolli, Optimus or Ali do some of you know if the game will feature japanese voices also???
I mean, like in Trusty Bell, where you could switch the audio to japanese. Do you know something?

I will wait till the english asian version hits stores. Then if it features the japanese audio i will buy the game. I can stand with the terrible english cast, really bad IMO.

I am hoping so, I think they said it will be on 2 DVD's so its possible.

But I don't mind either way, Tales games have an annoying saturday morning cartoon voice acting to them but I have got used to it over the years.

There are many worse voiced JRPGs I have played thats for sure.
