if you have the YUV or VGA cable at HD it says "not compatible with PAL50" HELLO? PAL has nothing to do with HDTV! I had to switch from VGA to YUV and than set the switch to TV instead of HDTV... now it works. But it looks ugly... 480i on a HDTV = Xbox1. and there is a lot of popups etc. horrible... THQ ARE YOU INSANE TO RELEASE SUCH A CRAP DEMO???

Change the option to PAL-60 while you are switched to TV, then switch back to HDTV and it will work.

if I have the VGA HD lead on the 360, there is no option PAL60 available... I have first to connect my YUV cable "TV", then pull it out, plug in the VGA cable (360 reboots then) and then I can play it in whatever resolution I want... what a BS!!!

You should only have to do it once and then the PAL-60 option is set permanently.

Yeah, mine had a problem with that too, at first. It prolly just checks for the variable somewhere.

I must say I'm disappointed in the game though. I was pretty excited about the prospect of Return Fire meets Freedom Fighters, but the controls are just too poor. Brute Force kept on the right side of too-terrible-controls-to-enjoy, but this demo has me frowning. You have to stand insanely still to get the character to crouch or aim, and even if you "aim" it's really difficult to get any kind of overview.

The vehicle controls adapt some kind of psuedo halo approach that really doesn't work as well as you'd hope. There are some cool physics at work with the jeeps and stuff, but they really don't go where you want them to.

There's a lot of lag - that could be attributed to the demo - that doesn't help with the twitchyness. All too often the vehicles spaz out and you can't even hope to use them properly in some instances. More often than not I'd spaz into a building or something and get my ass right shot up.

If the 8.5 from OXM is any indication it would appear as if they've addressed the glaring flaws in this demo, and one can only hope that the final version is a better example of what's essentially a brilliant concept.

Yah I totally get a Freedom Fighters vibe from this game as well.

Good ideas marred by poor execution.

It SUCKS!!!and looks like crap at what seems to be 30fps,WTF!! First Full Auto now this, I am really really bummed. The Multiplayer only is Bullshit as well I should not need a gold account to play ANY demo no matter what.

Sorry for the rant but I was really looking forward to this game.

Well its a demo afterall we don't know when this demo was made and to be honest I played full auto (the final version on my friend's 360 for the first time the other day and I'm so mad that I didn't end up buying the thing)

The fps drops are NOWHERE nearly as bad as people were making it seem and I ended up not buying because of comments about the terrible fps and how unplayable it was.

In addition check out ign or gamespot takes on the multiplayer version of the outfit they played they had nothing but good things to say in regards to the gameplay and speed at which it ran so again this demo is quite possibly not a accurate reflection of the final product.

yeah, this game really doesn't hold my attention for any longer than ten minutes at a time, the controls are terrible, the framerate half-decent, and the gameplay just plain boring so far (maybe if i had a chance to practice before getting obliterated it'd help but that's the peril of an online-only demo for a new gametype)

For the most part, the game did run smoothly, though would occasionally hiccup and draw up a connection problem screen. These never lasted more than a few seconds. Also, the vehicles proved difficult to control, even after we'd been playing the game for a few hours. "

Graphics don't help this game in its current state, why does everyone on here make it about graphics? It's a flawed game controls wise while Full Auto is a brilliantly fun game controls wise. They don't share the same problems at all.

lets face it, it would have been a nice xbox live arcade title... who is buying this if there is BF2 and GRAW. no way, but I think it's still fun for a short time.

Which is why I think alot of people were expecting a bit too much from this game nobody will choose this over bf2, cod 2, or graw, elder scrolls it isn't happening.
The way people are going crazy over the game on ign you'd swear this game was more anticipated than all 3 of sakaguchi's games, gears of war, graw, too human, mass effect and halo 3 combined.

People are going WAYYY overboard haha.

I would easily pick this over BF2 and GRAW if only it played well, because this has some personality and charm. No matter how good the newest GRAW gets it's still just the newest GR game, and quite frankly to a lot of people it's just the newest realistic war shooter.

The Outfit has an immediacy to it and an arcade flair which is what made Freedom Fighters bloody fantastic, but it's let down by its shoddy controls both for vehicles and characters. If it wasn't for those shortcomings, the full game with its full campaign mode - playable in co-op from what I gather - could've made this another cool game nobody played because they were too busy with the newest BF.

I'm picking this up soon as it hits the shelves, along with GRAW and Elder Scrolls this month. I'll skip BF2 since I own it for the PC and didn't enjoy it much.
