Despite spending fifteen hours on Blades of Fire, we decided it would be unwise to write an actual review, which in any case would not have been representative of the entire Blades of Fire adventure. That said, we couldn't leave you without our impressions of our experience, especially as we were originally far from convinced that we'd really get hooked on MercurySteam's game. And yet...
505 Games and MercurySteam are preparing the upcoming release of Blades of Fire on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S so we are getting a brand new YouTube video. This time, it is only focused on the skill-based combat system, which actually seems pretty interesting. It won't be long before we all find out since the game is planned for May 22.
Blades of Fire is the new project MercurySteam Entertainment (Castlevania Lord of Shadows, Metroid Dread) has been working on for some time. It will be released on May 22 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and though it won't be a technical prowess by any means, we hope it will be appealing gameplay-wise. It seems to be inspired by the God of War reboot which came out on PS4, but it's also a mix of other game and it could be quite interesting.
