GSY Video PS5 Xbox Series X PC

After our Braking Point coverage on Saturday, it's time to take a closer look at the F1 25 experience. Check out the gameplay video of the game we recorded on Xbox Series X, this time showcasing the five tracks freshly laser-scanned using LIDAR technology and one of the three reversed tracks. If we manage to get a PS5 or PC code, we'll be back with more footage, but for the time being, it'll be all.

GSY Preview PS5 Xbox Series X PC

As part of our video preview coverage of F1 25, we've been authorized to share with you some excerpts from the first two chapters of the new season of Braking Point. After a quick recap of past events, we meet up with the now-familiar characters for a new championship but don't worry if you're afraid of spoilers, we're only revealing the very beginning of the adventure, giving you the chance to discover a few cutscenes and three circuits only. From what we've been able to see, the premise is rather engaging, but remains in line with the two previous seasons of this story-driven mode. It's sometimes possible to select your driver at the start of the chapter (this is the case for the first one, with the choice between Aiden Jackson and Callie Mayer), we're also entitled to post-race interview sessions (which increase your reputation with the press for example), but also to a bit of management thanks to passages through Casper Akkerman's office. It's nothing revolutionary per se but it's still undeniably effective, so we can't wait to see what happens next, all the more so as the handling and driving model are excellent as ever, with a top-notch sensation of speed.

With the upcoming release of F1 25 (May 30) and F1 The Movie (June 25) starring Brad Pitt, it's no surprise that the game and the film have come together with a partnership. For players, this will be the opportunity to take on some special challenges inspired by the feature film by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick). Inside you will find a short new trailer of the game showcasing the partnership.

With the recent announcement that Codemasters is putting its rally games on hold, and the wave of layoffs affecting various studios at Electronic Arts, it's hard not to worry about future F1 games. For the time being, promotional videos of F1 25 keep coming as this year's new installment is still scheduled for release on May 30 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The second episode of the Deep Dive series of F1 25 videos focuses on the visuals and the added fidelity made possible with path tracing (on PC only) and the use of the LIDAR technology for some of the tracks. This year, Bahreïn, Miami, Melbourne, Suzuka and Imola have been thoroughly scanned to look as realistic as possible. There's more to discover in today's video so if you're a fan, you know what to do.

It will soon be time to go back to the most prestigious Formula One tracks with the return of Codemasters' franchise. F1 25 will be available on May 30 on PC and consoles and it will feature the third season of Braking Point, the story focused mode that many players have come to enjoy.
