As promised, we can now finally show you the Xbox One X version of FIA European Truck Racing Championship, a game which will only appeal to a niche of players. The console version remains very smooth but just like WRC 7 (another game published by BigBen) the developers chose to lock the framerate at 30 fps instead of 60.
FIA European Truck Racing Championship was released last week and we thought it'd be fun to record a bunch of videos of the game. Aside from a few of them in Forza Motorsport, we haven't seen a lot of truck racing on consoles and PC. Sure, there's Euro Truck Simulator for those interested in something less competitive, arcade lovers had tons of fun with 18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker back in the days, but that's about all there was up until now. This game is obviously not for everyone, but it's a pretty decent sim in which you must use water to cool your brakes. As you'll see in our videos, the 3D engine is a bit dated (the trucks looks good though) but it's more than enough to be immersed in the races.
Note: The Xbox One X version, which we should cover soon, runs at 30 fps. It's perfectly smooth but 60 fps would have been preferable for a sim racer.
