Firewatch is now on available on Xbox One and we give you a few minutes of gameplay captured at the very beginning of the adventure. The Xbox One version is not above reproach, as it suffers from random mini-freezes, but it should not ruin the experience to you, as we managed to reach the end of this version and to enjoy it a lot.

Because we didn't want to spoil anything, they reveal nothing about the story but the first one shows some of the environments. As soon as it was announced back in September 2014, we were immediately seduced by Firewatch, its fantastic art style and its original theme. A year and a half later, after completing this very immersive narrative adventure, we can say we were right to believe in its potential. We are now going to explain to you why, despite its rather short length (almost 5 hours as far as we're concerned), it is absolutely worth your time. The tricky part is we cannot allow ourselves to include any spoilers in the article, but we love a good challenge. After Unravel, here comes another case of love at first sight on Gamersyde, one we're happy to detail in a full review.

Firewatch was shown in a brand new trailer during the Sony press conference early this morning. We haven't found the direct feed video yet but until we do, here is the off-screen capture Miguel did for us.

Campo Santo is a new independent studio based in San Francisco and the developers were kind enough to send us the very first trailer of Firewatch in super high quality. In this game, you play the role of Henry, a man who's taken a job as a fire lookout and who has to watch the Wyoming wilderness. Of course, there is some kind of mystery to uncover, something that will most certainly affect Henry's life in many ways. It's all very intriguing, with a very realistic use of the first person perspective it seems, so we can't wait to see more. The game will be released in 2015 on Windows, Mac and Linux but the devs would also be happy to bring it to consoles.
Update: Some people had trouble playing the original downloaded file so we encoded a new version that should make it easier on their computer.
