During D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 2026, SQUARE ENIX and Disney revealed a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts IV, showcasing the game’s new world inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Coco. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in late 2027.
As part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, Square Enix and Disney announced that Kingdom Hearts IV, the newest installment in the RPG series, is in early development. In the announcement trailer, Sora makes a return with an updated look at the beginning of a new storyline titled the “Lost Master Arc.” Beginning with Sora facing off in a boss battle against a giant enemy, players are introduced to the Quadratum, a large, expansive city set in a realistic world unlike anything ever seen before in the Kingdom Hearts series.
