Microsoft Flight Simulator is partnering with the Reno Air Racing Association to bring the famous STIHL National Championship Air Races. The Reno Air Races represent the first major expansion for Microsoft Flight Simulator., available this Fall.
Even if we can't offer you a big coverage of the game, we can still show you a 4K HDR video of Microsoft Flight Simulator on Xbox Series X.
Microsoft Flight Simulator will be available on July 27, 2021 on Xbox Series X|S. Here is a gameplay trailer. In addition, more content related to Top Gun: Maverick will arrive on November 19.
After our capital and the west coast of our beautiful country, we're now heading south, east and finally north so you get a glimpse of some of the places you may know or not. This will end our postcard coverage of the latest update, though we're aware we have left out Belgium, Luxemburg and the Netherlands. Maybe in a few weeks...
Microsoft Flight Simulator remains a very demanding game even limiting the graphics to high and when using a resolution scaling setting set to 70%. We're taking you for a short flight in Paris, with a quick detour in the southern suburbs where I live in the very beginning. Oddly enough, I find the pop-in more visible now than it used to be at launch, but maybe that's just me getting old and forgetting such minor details...
Update: One video added, this time focusing on the west of France.
Microsoft Flight Simulator just got a new update improving some locations or monuments in France, Belgium, Luxemburg and the Netherlands. We should have some Gamersyde footage to share with you soon but until then here are 2 official 4K videos of the game and a few screenshots.
Before trying to showcase some of the most famous European cities in a future video, we dared to take a small jet plane to cross a small part of the Mediterranean sea and reach Italy. We took off in the south of Corsica, flew over Italy for a while until we reached the eastern seaboard and then went back to the west to arrive in Rome, just ion time for the sunset.
The Flight Simulator series has always benefited from the work of third party developers willing to update certain areas because they didn't have the proper amount of details. It is obviously no different for Microsoft Flight Simulator and the first interesting thing which popped out in the in-game shop comes from Orbx. For €7.99/$7.99, you can get a complete overhaul of London which adds quite de goog number of buildings and monuments, such as Buckingham Palace or Westminster Abbey to name but two. The result is very impressive, as shown in our images and videos. By the way, we must apologize for the rough landing at the end of the second video, we're new to this.
As promised, we're back with some Microsoft Flight Simulator beauty for a first long visit of France, starting with Nantes and finishing in Paris. Despite the new drivers released by NVIDIA, our RTX 2080 Ti and our i9 9900K struggled to maintain a framerate above 30 fps in 4K with ultra settings which, as most simers will confirm, is not an issue to enjoy the game. In the first part of our little stroll above Nantes and the French countryside, we even tried to push some of the graphics options that could beyond the ultra preset, just to see. This new episode of the Flight Simulator series, which started back in 1982, is undeniably impressive from a visual standpoint, with never before seeen details on the ground, mind-blowing weather effects and hyper realistic lighting. We can't wait to see more, we can't wait to show you more, but until then buckle up and get ready for a first glimpse of France!
Update 2: One last video in France added, next we'll be touring around Europe a bit.
