GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

Moons of Madness was released a bit more than a month ago now and like a bunch of games we have yet to cover, it was difficult for us to find the time to record anything before now. Inside, you will find more than 20 minutes of gameplay footage showing the beginning of the game, from the horrific nightmare the main character has in the introduction to his daily chores on the Martian base where he works. The game's atmosphere is pretty effective, with solid voice-acting and fewer jump scares than in other titles of the genre (which is a good thing in our point of view) but it's not technically perfect as even our RTX 2080 Ti didn't prevent a few frame drops at times.

Revealed back in 2016 by indie studio Rock Pocket Games, Moons of Madness found Funcom as a publisher. The game mixes Mars exploration and Lovcraftian cosmic horror as the player controls Shane Newehart, a technician on the red planet's Invictus outpost, unaware this research facility has been built because of a mysterious intelligent signal received by scientists but soon strange things start happening. The title will launch in Q4 2019 for PC and consoles.

Indie Norwegian studio Rocket Pocket Games reveals more about its psychological horror game Moons of Madness. Set to release in 2018 for PC and consoles, the H.P. Lovecraft-inspired title explores the psychological struggle of astronaut Shane Newehart and the supernaturals events that occur around Trailblazer Alpha, the first research facility on Mars. To incoporate the cosmic style of the author that inspired the developers, the game was built on three main mechanics which are: hard science, the exploration of mental illness through different modes and the Zone Outs feature that simulates the Lovecraftian madness.
