The indie scene is still very much active during the summer vacation and SCHiM will be available in a few days on PC, Mac and consoles. In the game, you will play as the soul and spirit of a young child, who will quickly become a young adult. Each living being, object or thing is supposed to have one and sadly, you will soon be separated from the human being you belong to and you will have to find them. In Nils Slijkerman's and Ewoud van der Werf's title, this soul is represented by a shadow and it can only move from one to another, making it a chill platforming game where you have to move through shadows. It clearly won't appeal to everyone, and to be honest, though very pleasant to play, we haven't been fully taken by the concept. Art is great, gameplay mechanics work well, but that's about it for us. It shouldn't deter you from trying the demo to make up your own mind about it though. The only thing we wish were different is the way the camera is handled. We would rather it were assigned to the right analog stick instead of the right and left bumpers, which doesn't feel that convenient in the end.
