Since our old Fanatec wheel is fully compatible (yeah!) with Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo, we could not resist capturing our very first attempts. It is obviously far from being impressive, even considering we used manual gear, our H shifter and no braking assists, but we had a lot of fun crashing before getting these videos. Hopefully, you'll enjoy them a bit!

We just got our PC copy of Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo and we haven't been able to play much so it's too soon to tell you what we think about it. So far, we can only say that we understand why the reviews have been rather polarizing. There is some interesting content, the stages are really well designed, but the game clearly doesn't run as it should considering how it looks. On one GTX 970, the framerate is more or less steady, just a few drops once in a while (it's worse during replays), so it's playable. On the other hand, as soon as our SLI is activated, it becomes a stuttering feast. The videos you'll find inside were captured with a controller, but our wheel is supposed to be compatible so we'll have more footage coming in the next few days. One of the videos is in French, so sorry about that, but we promise the next ones won't be.

After releasing a demo on consoles on December 24, Bandai Namco and Milestone are back on PC with a new trial version of Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo. We have to say we hadn't been convinced by the gameplay after trying the game on PS4 but this time it felt much better with a controller. The visuals are quite realistic, though they're clearly not going to blow your mind. Only problem, the framerate seems to be all over the place, despite what the Steam FPS counter indicates (constant 60 fps). To make things even weirder, the replay is a lot smoother than the actual gameplay, which is why we could only capture footage in replay mode. Do not expect great driving, it was our second attempt and the game is pretty demanding.

Milestone may have left the WRC franchise to Kiloton and Big Ben Interactive, they are still in the rally business since Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo will ship in January on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Trailer inside!
