Star Citizen has been in development for more than ten years but it's still ambitious as ever, as proven by one of the lattest videos showcasing the Star Engine. We've also taken the liberty of adding the Squadron 4 trailer which came out a little while ago but that we had failed to share with you. Note that only YouTube versions are available.

To begin the new year, French member atN sent us a couple of videos of the 3.8 Alpha build of Star Citizen on PC. Obviously, Chris Roberts' game is still far from over, but it's nice to be able to see its evolution from a technical standpoint. As a bonus, we've added the YouTube teaser of Squadron 42, the single player campaign of the game.

Star Citizen's never-ending development is obviously still on and the game's backers have recently been granted access to the 3.7 version of the alpha. Just like the last time we gave Chris Roberts' colossal project some coverage, we owe today's video to French member atN, who contacted us to share his work (and what work!). Different features have been added to the latest build of the game, like procedural caves, new ships, a first person mining tool, a backpack which serves as a "physical" inventory system and the possibility to rent spaceships.

French member atN reached out to us because he wanted to share a video of Star Citizen's latest alpha code he recorded himself. Since no one in the team owns the game, we are grateful he did.

Cloud Imperium has released a teaser which reveals Lt. Cmdr. Steve "Old Man" Colton, the character played by Mark Hamill in Squadron 42, the singe-player mode of Star Citizen. 4K video available as download inside.

At CitizenCon, Cloud Imperium Games brought details about Squadron 42, the single player game from Star Citizen. The cast includes Gary Oldman, Gillian Anderson, Mark Hamill and John Rhys-Davies. Get inside screens, behind-the-scenes video with the cast, a facial animation tech video and the Bishop Senate Speech cinematic. Also, a new site dedicated to Squadron 42 opened.

Cloud Imperium reveals these new screenshots from the FPS module of Star Citizen. It is currently being demoed at PAX Australia but we'll try to get an HQ video.
