Yesterday during the PC Gaming Show Nightdive Studios and Prime Matter unveiled a new gameplay trailer of System Shock which features the returning voice talents of Terri Brosius as the psychotic and malevolant artificial intelligence controlling Citadel Station, SHODAN (Sentient Hyper-Optimized Data Access Network). The fully-fledged remake of the 1994 title is "coming soon".
Nightdive Studios has released one last demo for System Shock on Steam, GOG et Epic Games Store to give players a good glimpse at the vision and experience the team set out to create since the Kickstarter launch campaign. The game is planned to release in late Summer 2021 (console versions should follow soon after) and pre-orders will grant access to System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition when it releases. Last September, an Enhanced Edition of the classic cyberpunk title released but now a full remake is on the horizon as we learned it in November. Night Dive Studios has been in contact with some members of the original team to preserve the spirit of the original. Now you can get a look at this Unity-powered remastered version with the first pre-alpha gameplay footage that surfaced last week, but here today in a better quality thanks to the studio. System Shock Remastered has no release date yet but don't expect it to launch this year.
