For us old gamers, Ron Gilbert is above all the father of the Maniac Mansion series and the Monkey Island series, but he's also known for DeathSpank, a game that shares the same love for humor and burlesque. We don't know about you, but when we learned that the famous designer would be back with The Cave we immediately got interested. After being able to play the game for a few days, we can now tell you we were right. With its subtle mix of platforming and puzzles, this new game is a joy to play. You will laugh a lot thanks to its fantastic narrator (The Cave itself), you will think a lot thanks to its twisted - but nonetheless doable - puzzles, and you will have a lot of fun in this bizarre world. The game also has good replay value as each of the 7 playable characters has his/her own dedicated level. Check out our videos, or stay away from them if you want the satisfaction to solve everything on your own.
