Time has come for you to see the PS4 Pro version of The Evil Within 2 in action. As you'll see, other than a bit more pop-in and and the 30 fps framerate, it looks pretty similar to the PC version. We just find the image to be a little blurrier even though we played both versions in 1080p.
The replay of tonight's livestream is now available, so if you weren't present to see us play The Evil Within 2 on PC, here's your chance to catch up. Because the image quality of our recording is not very good, we have decided to use YouTube's streaming service for those who wish to watch the replay this way. You can still download the video from our servers if you prefer. Enjoy!
The Evil Within 2 will be released tomorrow on PC and consoles but we have been playing the PC version for a couple of days already. Here are a few videos showing the beginning of the adventure, which should be spoiler-free overall as we stopped following the main story once arrived in town. The PC version seems to be much better optimized than the first game, but even with a GTX 1080, it's preferable to stick to a 1080p resolution to avoid the frame drops. We have experienced a little bit of stutter though, which might be due to the Creator's Update Windows added a few months back (and which is supposed to be fixed in an upcoming update on October 17). If you're a bit curious about the game, we will be live playing tonight at 9:30 CEST for about 30 minutes (only). Be on time!
Friday the 13th will see the release of Bethesda and Tango Gameworks' The Evil Within 2 so here is the launch trailer to put you in the mood of the horrors from the nightmarish world of STEM.
Update: new images added.
The Evil Within 2 will release this Friday, October 13 for PC and consoles so here are some new screenshots.
We recently participated to a preview event focused on The Evil Within 2 at Bethesda's in Paris. As we were able to record some gameplay footage of the PC version we tried, we thought you might want to see it in action. Keep in mind that the preview build is by definition not final, and as such does not necessarily represent the quality of the final product.
After the crazy artist Stefano, The Evil Within 2 introduces another human monster that made his way into the world of STEM. Father Theodore, a moralizing priest who promises his righteous wrath to anyone who dare oppose him. Plus 10 new screenshots. The game will hit store shelves on October 13.
With the terrors and creatures within STEM and the madness of Stefano and Theodore, time will be against Sebastian in The Evil Within 2. Jump inside for the new gameplay trailer.
In the new STEM world, Sebastian will have to face horrific creatures but also human monsters. Stefano Valentini is one of them and can learn more about hime with the new trailer inside. The twisted photographer thinks of him as an artist therefore you will be able to see some of his "works" diffused throughout Union or you can already get a glimpse here and with the trailer inside. The Evil Within 2 will be out October 13th.
