The Lords of the Fallen came out a bit more than a week ago but we could not propose videos any sooner. From what we've seen, the game has received pretty positive reviews but as it has become the norm today, it also has quite a number of technical issues. PC and PlayStation 5 owners are not spared but the worst situation is to be found on Xbox Series X|S. We've only played the very beginning of the game, so apart from frame drops (in both graphics modes) we can't say we have run into a lot of problems, but there are still there so be aware. Some players claim that playing offline seems to mitigate the freezes and huge framerate drops though. Worth giving it a go then.

In the past few days, The Lords of the Fallen showed a bit more of its gameplay mechanics and world and we're very curious to see if this reboot will manage to be more convincing than the original game. One mechanic is actually reminiscent of Soul Reaver, which is clearly not a bad inspiration.

The Lords of the Fallen is yet another title developed with Unreal Engine 5 and yesterday's conference by Epic gave us a chance to see a showcase video of the game and the way the engine will be used to give life to its world.

Busy morning today on Gamersyde as it is now the turn of The Lords of the Fallen to show a bit of gameplay in this short teaser. The game is the sequel to Deck13's 2014 title but it is now developed by Hexworks, a CI Games studio.

There are games we tend to forget about and the sequel to Lords of the Fallen is clearly one of them. The first game came out in 2014 on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One and it's been such a long time that we thought The Lords of the Fallen 2 project had been cancelled somehow. It hasn't, which is great news, and it is now oddly entitled The Lords of the Fallen. It's like HEXWORKS and CI Games are willing to make a reboot out of it. No release date has been announced yet, but the fact that the sequel will run on Unreal Engine 5 makes us very impatient to see it in action. on a side note, actor Joseph Quinn, now incredibly famous thanks to Stranger Things, is narrating this first trailer.
