Virginia is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, but if you haven't had the chance to try the demo yet, maybe it would be wise to take a quick look at some of the following videos. Developer Variable State designed a fully narrative experience in which gameplay mechanics are extremely limited. The emphasis is clearly on story and atmosphere, with a movie approach to the way the story is delivered. You go from one scene to another with no transition, making it difficult to understand what is going on at first, and the point of all this is to let the player connect all the dots together. The absence of dialogues is also justified by the desire to deliver a story differently than in most games. Being focused on narration only - even though there are some minor interactions with the world -, it does not take long to complete, about 2 hours, but it's still a journey worth taking if you like thrillers.
