Senko no Ronde Rev X. is the second japanese Xbox 360 game I get to play this week-end. I'm very busy with the trip to Leipzig and the server optimizations so I didn't have a lot of time to really train correctly, but I've still managed to record this fairly interesting video. This game is a strange but interesting mix of a fighting game and a "Bullet Hell" Shoot'em Up, and at first it's really confusing. But after a few minutes everything starts to make sense and it get really enjoyable. The game system is quite simple: A for boosts, X for simple attacks, Y for special attack (guided projectiles, or temporary power ups for the simple attack), B for the secondary attack (bullet hell, mines...), right trigger for the shield and the lest trigger for the mega attack. It doesn't take more than a minute to get used to the controls, as expected from an arcade game. This is a really enjoyable but of course quite limited in scope title, old school gamers should love it.
The video was recorded at 60 fps and was terribly difficult to encode correctly. As I do not wish to make any compromise on the quality, I've had to limit the length to a bit more than 4 minutes for the low quality version, and only one rather long fight the the HD one. As always the 720p60 version requires a very powerful computer.
Sega released some images from Senko No Ronde, which had a great score in the new Famitsu Weekly - 32/40. The game is released in exactly a week in Japan, and we'll have an import copy soon to make some videos of.
After months without anything new, it seems that G-Rev finally wants to hype Senko no Ronde a bit, since there are some brand new images of the game already. The idea of a shooting/fighting game is really interesting, I'll definitely import this one.
G-Rev released these 8 new images of Senko no Ronde Rev. X, their brand new Shoot'en Up for 360, in 720p resolution. The game will be released on July 27 in Japan.
Announced during the TGS, Senko no Ronde is a 3D shooter developed by specialists of this genre, G-Rev. The homepage of the game was just updated with these 4 images, and the announcement of a July 2006 release date.
It's the end of the month so as always it's time for some new Famitsu Xbox 360 scans. Nothing major this month, so I'll just use the features I've added to the site yesterday and add all the images in this news.
Announced during the last TGS, Senko no Ronde Rev. X is the Xbox 360 version of a Shoot'em UP for the Naomi (dreamcast based) arcade board. These scans won't really help you understand what this game is all about though.
