After our videos of the PS5 version, here is WRC 9 captured on Xbox Series X.
After our videos of the PS5 version, here is WRC 9 captured on Xbox Series X.
After years of 30 fps on consoles, WRC 9 arrives on Playstation 5 with a smooth 60 fps framerate and a pretty good DualSense support with the use of the adaptative triggers and the controller's speaker. Inside you will find 2 videos showing Poland, Kenya and Finland but we'll have 1 more stage in Japan up tomorrow.
Update: Third video added.
As we think we promised a few days ago, we played 3 full stages of WRC 9 with our Fanatec wheel (the CSL Elite for PS4 - which can be used on PC, and even Xbox One if you plug the XB1 CSL steering wheel on the wheel base). We chose to show you the 3 new countries (Kenya, New Zealand and Japan) and this time the footage doesn't come from the replay, so you get all the indications by the copilot and everything else. Enjoy!
Time for the second part of our WRC 9 coverage with the countries we haven't shown yet, Finland, Turkey, Germany and Wales. In the following video we have mixed extracts from the PC and Xbox One X versions. We should be back with one last batch of videos before the game's launch, showing full stages and possibly wheel gameplay.
The embargo on all WRC 9 content is now lifted so we can start sharing some of the content we've prepared for a few days. To begin, we're showing a glimpse of 9 countries (out of 13), including the 3 new ones, namely Kenya, New Zealand and Japan. As a bonus, we have 3 full replays with the TV cam, which was much improved last year and does not disappoint in this new installment, despite a few occasional bugs. The game will be released on September 3 on PC, PS4 and PC but we'll be back before its launch with more footage, Xbox One and PC alike. We might even try to see if our wheel can make us more believable rally drivers.
WRC 9 was announced a little while ago along with its September 3 release date, but we were sent a new trailer showcasing New Zealand, a new location rallye fans should be more than happy to visit in a few months. Trailer and images are inside.
