Well if it plays like Kameo I'll pass. There are very few games which nail the gameplay in this genre.

Looks very much like the first Fable for a 'next gen' game. Unless its a budget price game its not gonna sell many copies.

I like the premise of the game but the first gameplay videos shown on gametrailers.com looked kind of weak. THe game seemed clunky and hard to use, didn't seem very intuitive as to what you're supposed to do. All sorts of strange countdown bubbles, etc.

I hope they can pull it off, I really like the idea and humor behind the game and their comments about the AI sound great but so far the videos shown haven't been very impressive.

This is not a platformer. It is an action strategy RPG with a dose of British dark humor.

Agreed. But there is an interview at IGN where they talk about the minion control

"Kevin Mullard: Overlord is an action RPG game with one big difference - the Minions. You can control them in two main ways; by 'sending' them, which is rather like firing an intelligent and rampaging bullet; or by 'sweeping', in which players use the right analogue stick to move the Minion horde over the landscape, killing, stealing and breaking everything in their path. They flock as they go too, meaning they flow around trees, over bridges and into innocent people's houses."

I hope it turns out good. The box is really needing some more variety in it's games.
