If cryo stasis had been invented it'd be what I would be using it for!

Never been a fan of hob goblins and poisoned dwarfs but this actually looks pretty impressive.

The 3d person view looks so good. I think I might play it in that mode.

So, the dragons are completely unscripted, right? They can appear at random moments, no?
Correct, I think there a couple of dragons which are in set places like ontop of the archway in the video but otherwise yeah they are random.

I remember Todd Howard saying while playtesting he was fighting one and another two appeared to join the fight, going to be tough if that happens!

Looks frkn epic.

And whatever happened to Project Offset? I know it was a small team working on it, but I haven't seen anything from it for so long, it makes me think it must be cancelled or something.

_____

looked it up and it was indeed cancelled. shame really, cause it looked great.

So what are you saying is that I could be in a conversation with an NPC and suddenly a dragon appears and stars to cause chaos and the conversation changes to talk about that dragon and how we will kill it?

Awesome stuff.

Project Offset still looks amazing, if those are in-game graphics, it's up there with Battlefield 3. Too bad we won't ever know. At least we have WITCHER 2 for an EPIC fantasy RPG. How many enemies is Skyrim going to throw at you, eh? ;)

Full marks to Bethesda for raising the bar on their previous work. It looks quite superb. As a whole i think fans will go nuts for this one

I'm guessing there is a reason for that still stiff clunky robot feel still in fps - it has improved mind you - , and i imagine this has something to do with the overall ambition that makes the game- it is after all concentrating recources everywhere i guess. I don't think i'd be able to get past that quibble myself but fans are in for a right treat

You hear a lot of things said of AI and how things happen dynamically, and while i'm sure there is stuff going on dynamically, i also remember what Bethesda said of Oblivion regarding AI. I wouldn't personally get hopes up to impossibly high levels otherwise this aspect may be a slight let down- Fable also taught me that one

I think conversation will be most likely dropped for "Argh! Dragons!" if you are in town but yes, they can attack you in towns and you will arrive at towns under attack/post attack from dragons.

=)

Funny you say that, Todd Howard openly admits to "borrowing" that from Bioshock right to Ken Levine's face in (12:30)this roundtable video.
