Xbox 360 PS2 Xbox

EA released even more images from Superman Returns, where most of them are in 720p. They are probably from the trailer which will be released on or before the 1st of March. Too bad the city doesn't look alive at all, but I guess you can blame Mr Big for that.

Hmm looking good i geuss.

The characters look next gen, but the buildings, i mean come on, they need to work on the 1 overlay pattern for the buildings, other then that, the destructability on the building, awsome.

The only way I'll forgive the buildings looking like that is if EVERYTHING is destructable like the pictures suggest. Other than that this looks damned good.

i think the crashing building needs some smoke? i don't want to be cruel, but when i see this building, i automatically remembers me of 9/11...

and the other buildings could use some bump-mapping or so...

but it might look totally different in motion... so i'm looking forward for a short clip.

Yeah, the lower res ones probably are. It does say multiplatform shots, so I'll assume anything less than 720p is Xbox.

Superman's one of my favorite comic heroes, but why does he still have to wear the briefs. I mean come on, nobody does that anymore. I would have been satisfied if the out fit was all blue. Ditch the underwear and I'll take him seriously in the motion-picture this summer.

Everything can be destroyed and maybe this is another game we'll have to see in motion to appreciate such as ghost recon.

Liking the buildings blowing up... not liking the lifeless, textureless, repetitive buildings and the dead world. Reminds of a physics demo with 2 characters tossed on screen.

There ARE pics from an extremely early build nonetheless probably why everything seems so lifeless. As you are suppose to be troubled with having to prevent trucks or buses from going off bridges and a whole list of other things and keep people safe while in these enourmous fights.

Places will catch on fire a whole of things should take place, but they assured us there will be MANY inventive ways for us to make use of superman's powers and you have all your abilities from the get go. No need to find abilities and get stronger as you go on.

The first two pics released were from the Xbox version (according to Gamespot, anyway), and these don't look any better . . . besides, as everyone knows, Superman is very, very gay.

I hope we don't play as superman as a teeny tiny guy against the huge city..

Looks okay, not that impressive.. i need to see gameplay trailers to truely understand..since screenshots only give an idea of the type of game it would be.

From the looks of things..superman has to save the city from missiles, can throw chunks of an interactive city..and the city seems very destructable..and superman looks to be flying good.

So far so good on the premise of the game, love to see what other powers the game uses of superman's.. Can he use heat ray on gang's guns? people? use super breathe? create a twister by revolving fast? throw cars? ..if superman destroys the city..will the people react differently? etc..etc..

changing superman's costume would be like having a water with cereal instead of milk.. it's huge!

There is a reason why he wears those colors, patriotism..and everyone recognises superman with his bright colours..kinda like the opposite of batman..dark, broody, anti hero at times..whereas superman is one who upholds justice..all american guy, patriotic, smiling, and all round nice guy.

Imagine if he didn't wear his briefs, or didn't wear them on the outside..you would be looking at his crotch more often and ponder " he has no balls!"

Would you be standing around when a robot of that size destroyed a building? :p
Remember, this is from an early build. A lot of these screens were already in Game Informer a little while ago.
