Don't be surprised if this sells well, its just as big as final fantasy or dragon quest in japan (literally)

Its a port up of a old pc game though so we'll see.

I don't think it's "that" big in Japan. I mean back in the NES era it was pretty big along side FF and DQ, however since then the popularity steadily declined until it's pretty much just an average seller now.

Now I'm not discounting nostalgia sales from older gamers, but I don't think the name has enough selling power to do much, but I could be surprised, suppose it depends on what score famitsu gives it.

I just don't want people getting their hopes up and then cursing Japan when this doesn't sell X360's there.

Lol, no it's nowhere near popularity of FF and DQ, nor this game will sell much, probably just few thousands.

Blim, if you want to host it there's smallish Ziria gameplay video (got it off 2ch)

Hmm I wonder according to ign and many other sites its that popular in japan, but in japan it has a different name.

I thought it was crazy too, when they mentioned it, but figured what the hell how would I know :)

I don't know about you guys, But I love old school Japanese RPG's like Lunar and Grandia, and this seems to bring that spirit to the Xbox 360, so if it makes it to America it'll be a definite purchase for me.

reminds me of Gomez: The Mystic Ninja. Boy were those the good old days.

I don't understand why are they releasing this for the Xbox 360. It seems that it could be pulled by the original Xbox even in 720p.

Because lack of rpg,and its a new system, many companies just want new titles put their, and especially if its a RPG.

They best bring it over here, as with the amount of Xbox360s sold over there right now they aren't going to make any profit releasing it just in Japan.

I'm with you ThrashinPeace on the Japanese RPGs, Chrono Trigger, Skies of Arcadia, Phantasy Star 2 and many more, I hope we get a world wide release for Blue Dragon as that would be sweet

Is there any chance at all that this could make it over here in the US?

I hope it does, cause I love RPG's.

It looks a lot better than it did 6 months ago.

Very colorful, I'll give it that...if it came to America, I'd buy it.

Since [eM] -eNCHANT arM- got itself a North-American/Europe publisher maybe there's a slight chance this game founds one too. But still, graphics means a lot for publisher over here (Maybe too much)... . Argh, I want this!

At one point I didn't want to play this game, but I've been reading a bit on the game, and now I really want to try it out. I as well think of it as the lunar concept, how the graphics looked like crap compared to the other psx games, but the game was gameplay, music, and story was great. This game is a classic remake, so i think it you be pretty good, and I do believe that'll sell well in japan.

I certainly do hope that it gets released outside Japan. The current Japan console sales is not enough to make a profit for these devs...
