Xbox 360

Taito released these two new videos of Over G. The first one is simply the TV ad for the game, and the second on a promotional clip showing a bit more of the action.

Ridiculous looking game, are Japanese developers trying to make bad games. If the graphics llok like this then the areas better be huge, and i mean huge.

the desert (grand canyon style) and the forest (nice trees) in the short clip look fine (but difficult to tell with this screen resolution)...

Awesome, nice to see some devs have some originality. Not just another crappy FPS/TPS. Can't wait for this one.

Just another traditional J-Game to 360 .. it really is ANOTHER market, hard to understand and even harder to respect.

Japanese are not graphics whores. They care about gameplay. Games with shitty gameplay (like say, Mortal Kombat) never fly over there. On the other hand, in the US...

The clip looks a lot better than previous movies, still not mindblowing but it's improving.

Sure, maybe other markets aren't hard to understand, but sure as hell just as hard to respect. If I wanted to release something very very original and stand a fighting chance for it to succeed, I'd do it over in Japan (Katamari Damacy anyone?). That said, I pay my respects to games like Psychonaut, Raze's Hell and many others that tried but failed.

I dont see the japan as "more open to originality" .. they are more open to small-independent productions .. MANY original games suceed here too .. the sims, GTA, lemmings etc etc etc .. but here they have to be "well made" .. not only original ..and there are as many original games that floped .. even in japan, like .. "Live a Live" by square.

I dont usually buy into the whole "Japanese Devs Purposely making ugly games" , but this is starting to get rediculous. Its hard to beleive that soo many of them cant make crappy looking games on a system that can produce images like those in GRAW and FNR3.

Over G may be the only realistic flight sim to ever come out on 360. There were exactly ZERO on xbox 1. The closest we got was Air Force Delta Storm. If you like stuff like that or Crimson Skies, then get Blazing Angels.

The Japanese should realize that you can make a game that not only plays well, but looks good too. This isn't an example of that.

You can rehash the 'gameplay pwn graphics' argument all day long, but with this generation of consoles....there is no excuse for not having both.

OK, I'll just forget about graphics with this game and hope the game is a good simulation, I'm willing to buy any airplane game that's a respectable simulation. That's very hard to do on a console, but whatever, I'll just wait, doubtful this game will have any simulation to it but anyways...........

So far there are no good simulation games on any console. The only one that comes somewhat close is that game for the Dreamcast, it wasn't Air Force Delta, I think it was called Aero Wings.

Does anyone else here feel like this game could cleanup quite nicely? I mean this isn't due out till april right? Most everyones complaints are about the building and ground textures; not about the planes or smoke effects or explosions...

What happens if they have time (which they do) to swap in Hi-Rez textures to replace the crap ones seen here. I mean it makes sense that they'd leave in the low-rez textures until the latter part of development.

Do you think then everyone will stop complaining.....uh....so much? Just a thought. I mean the same thing happened with Ghost Recon at X05, and now look at all the fanboys moistening their pants.

It looks good for me. Why so much hate anyways?
Should be fun on LIVE, trying to do tricks with friends, and blowing them up if you want.
I also like the way planes explode.

Looks good to me as well.

There's so much hate because its a Japanese game.

Don't worry, it will never set foot in North America and Europe. It will remain with Japan and Asia where people are more accepting of diversity and do not want to play FPS games all the time.

This looks like another crap type of "Full Auto" game. That has to be one of the worst X360 games out of them all. Even Quake 4 is better.

wtf? Flight Sims aren't popular (relatively) in the USA? Why *wouldn't* it come here, unless they didn't think it would be successful? Do you think it wouldn't be succesful because it's a flight-sim? Ever hear of Ace Combat?

I'm pretty sure everyone loves great graphics, I'm pretty sure reasonable people also love great gameplay--I'm also pretty sure there's an audience for just about any type of game, save for hentai (who am I kidding, there's a market for that too!), just about anywhere, if it's marketed well and it's a solid title.

Hope it's good..hope it comes here..I too am glad that it's not "yet another crappy FPS"--although last I checked there was only one crappy FPS for the X360 at this current point in time..but I'm sure that will change.
