Just in time for the GDC, Rockstar released these 8 images of their very surprising Ping Pong game, simply named Table Tennis. I can't wait to see this in motion.
table tennis is awesome to play. Europeans love to play table tennis. Atleast when I was in school they had a big room for chill outs. And evey break we got kids went there to just chill out and buy snacks and have fun and listen to music. And they had a table tennis and a pool table. The pool table was always a mess.
There were either missing sticks or the balls or there were always some people playing. And the table tennis were, were all the action was. Kids that didnt knew eachother asked for a tournament for the winner to stay so everyone got a chance to play fair and square so it was awesome. I hope the game turns out good. I wont buy it of course but a demo would be great.
This is off the wall so much that i dont know what to say. It looks awesome from the images shown. It will be interesting how it turns out. I like table tennis in real life, even tho i havent played it since my Junior High days.
This game screams, "Revolution!" I wounder exactly how the controls will be implimented. One analog stick to move the feet, and the other to move the paddle? Triggers to lean left/right? How about spin and such... 'tis be interesting.

Exactly. If they have some of the shots that u see some of the players make on espn sometimes i'm all for it. Jumping over the advertising in the back and things like that this game could be be good.
Regular tennis is a blast... but ping pong is quite quick. In tennis you move your feet a lot to get position (even so in the video games) whereas table tennis positioning of the paddle is very important, and being off an inch one side or the other can change your shot.
ok, it doesnt sound very amusing to play a tabletennis game but actually it might be really fun, I never ever seen a table tennis videogame in whole my life. I think it will be full of highspeed action and fun LIVE play.If you guys think topspin was fun, then you will think this is a better game then topspin.
Im 99% that if EA had made this no one would care :) I confess that i only care about this game because its from rockstar. If EA had made it never would buy it since im not into sports games.
Some website said this game utilizes a sort of bullet time slow down feature for really big shots apparently or you see how fight night would do the slow down for the super punch.
Hmmm I'm skeptical. The Ping Pong ball moves way faster than a tennis ball over a shorter distance. Hopefully the game will run at 60fps for smooth animation and ball movement. It looks fun over Live. Graphics are nice. Rockstar is going soft because they're trying to help people forget about Hot Coffee. Their reputation and stock prices fell rock bottom after Hot Coffee.
I predict you will need Ninja Gaiden's Ryu Hayabusa's reflexes to play this game.
Graphics look good though. However, as long as I'm concerned, graphics mean little in sport games (Fifa 2006 ) Gameplay is everything (Pro Evo Soccer 5)
