Ubisoft did this long video of the William de Montferrat mission in Acre, from Assassin's Creed. Unfortunately, it's really low-res - but, it's actually commented Jade Raymond, so it's absolutely worth checking out. How can you say that? Just because that is the first time you see this doesn't mean you can't use a human shield. Human shields do exist in games these days and I am pretty sure if an arrow came flying at one of the enemies it would surely pierce them. Just chill and stop killing the mood.

Ah now I see it. Altair did actually hold the enemy for 2 second before the other soldier was about to shoot the arrow...human shield is in the game, confirmed!

Because the player was about to throw the enemy off, and it takes like 1-2 seconds to get in the strength, it just happened that the other AI shot the arrow at Altair but hit his friend...nowhere near as a "grab him as a shield on purpose".

And yes i know there are games with human shield...Splinter Cell is a proof of that.

I am being a realist by the way.
IF there are more videos shown were Altair actually holds the enemy for a while and rag the enemy with him, then its there, if there isnt, then there isnt.

I think if Assassins Creed did have human shield, they would have revealed it by now, just like everyting else in Altairs advantage.

If you saw the video, Jade said "use the guy as a human shield" but she laughed like it wasent suppose to happen, but was a neat timing.

To me it looks like he just silently kills him with his blade/knife attached to his hand.

Well in the video they purposely skip any story elements after you kill the guy, so they're basically just showing gameplay. I know what you mean though, release the game already. Same goes with Mass Effect.

What is the logic behind not using the throwing knives on the main target?

Its the total opposite of hitman where you don't want to be known as the killer. Here your like HEY EVERYBODY LOOK AT ME !!!

Well yeah, if you are good in timing and the AI is lucky enough to go with the flow, it would be some neat stuff.

I agree, it would be easy.
However it would be cool if they used some sort of a aiming skill to it, but still locked on.
This feels like you just press a button, and he is dead.

not saying the human-shield is definitely in the game but she also laughed at the foot-stab move. i think she just gets excited, bless her.
