Xbox 360

While shopping for Enchanted Arms, I also spotted the Asian version of Ninety Nine Nights, with japanese voices and english text/subtitles. Here is a video from this version, showing more or less precisely what's good and what's wrong with this game. In no particular order: Great and fun mass destruction, very good graphics (this is not always the case), slowdowns, terrible lip sync, nice music, and boring/annoying bosses. And as a bonus, the lack of checkpoints in a game where levels can take 45 minutes to complete, with bosses that can kill the player in 2/3 shots. Ninety Nine Nights is most definitely one of the most frustrating games on 360, and it's missing so little stuff to actually be one of the best games on the system. A terrible shame.

As you can see the "low quality" video is already very big, so no 720p version for this one. But if you have a part you'd like to see in high resolution let me know with begin/end times and I'll do my best to encode it.

A few people have been saying that, and i would have to agree to some extent.

I think ground textures have been downscaled or something.

Still, I'm buying it. I don't care about lip sync, slowdowns are everywhere those days, and I always have been annoyed by bosses. I think the lack of checkpoints is actually a good idea that adds durability to the game, though the game should save automatically before a boss fight.

Damn! No checkpoints...That reminds me of those "wonderful" times, with KUF:/ "Oh yeah! Now I've won!" and hundreds of enemies comes from somewhere, usually at the end of an level... Something that really pisses me off...

Definitely renting that, just because it looks amazing for the amount of stuff going on at once and the immense power of the specials.

Maybe before it comes to the states they will fix the checkpoints issue?

Okay I just watched

Apparently this game has nonexistant AI in just about every aspect?

Your teammates are just spectators for the most part, you can run right through most of an army(seen specifically in the beginning clearly) without being attacked once

Mizuguchi said during E3 that the US/PAL version would be exactly the same, just with new voices.
