Those images look very odd, mix mash of old gen and next gen. Like the some parts of the background are poorly textured then there are areas of good high detailed texture and lighting. Car models arent great but the reflections and lighting look pretty good. Need to see it motion is what im getting at.

1. Next gen only lives in bald headed J no dot Allard's mind. No game is next gen, just good looking ok?
2. This game is being based on the PC version.
3. Even if it only looks a little bit better, it'll still look better than burnout. Burnout hides its lower quality graphics with blur and shaky camera (And people still enjoy it and think its awesome)

Looks awesome to me too. I am not sure where you get last gen texturing as most everything I saw looked normal mapped and lit very nicely. The reflection in the water is amazing. The fact that damn near everything in the environment is destructible to some degree or another is amazing. I believe I read where the cars have 80+ seperate parts. Wrecks should look awesome!

it is this kind of attitude that is scarring the games industry from making new fresh ideas, the game looks good, i bet it runs smooth as a nut as well, and if it plays well... the graphics dont matter, and it is NOT finished.

Peoples expectations are way to high nowadays you expect the world and when the world is offered ,you then moan at the price.

I agree it looks like a bit of a mixture...it's because they concentrate on the track and cars instead of enviroment

Weird mix indeed. Given proper time Bugbear could do a lot better. Rally Trophy for the PC was a fabulous looking game.

The parallax mapped mud tracks are great though.

It is really "awesome" to see how every single Joe D can be a true professional when judging game's graphical capabilities ;)

As per me everything looks ok. Hope it will support the feedback function, because my racing wheel already started rumbling in prevision of fresh "horse-powered" blood=)

I agree, ManThatYouFear, people's expectations are too high indeed. (myself included) I'm expecting way too much of the next-gen games. But some DO deliver the goodness.
