The point and click genre is without a doubt among the oldest genres to have appeared in video games. It has also become a very rare one in time, mainly because players have different expectations and needs now, and they also sometimes lack the patience and time to actually play such games. Thankfully, Gray Matter (Jane - Gabriel Knight - Jensen's latest game) should satisfy those missing the genre. The game will be released in Europe this week in some countries (like France, Spain and Italy for example) while the UK will have to wait until early 2011 so here are two videos showing the beginning of the adventure. There are no real spoilers here but if you are interested in the game, then be aware that we are still showing how to solve two of the puzzles available in the first chapter of the game. You can also download the PC demo here, should you want to give the game a try.

Ah, so this is the French Xbox 360-version? With English voices? I need this game, and don't really want to wait until February to get my hands on it. So I'd like a confirmation that the French, German, Spain and/or Italy 360 version have English voices?

It is the French version and the game does not include French voices, only subtitles. So you can order your copy here, it should be about 40€.

might as well blow the dust off the ye old box again.

Need more of these games, i want a day of the tentacle remake :D or grim fandango :D :D

Or a new broken sword (i done all the pc ones, i want more)

How are gamepad controls? I know some people hated Broken Sword 3, but i tought the controls were kind of fine/works. now the last broken sword that was just point n' click, that was kind difficult b/c of the bad camera work(first revolution 3D point n' click scheme). don't know how they messed it so bad.

They require some getting used to because it works with a radial menu. You can walk around freely using the left analog stick but to interact with your environment (or even leave an area) you must use the radial menu and the arrow. It is sometimes not that easy because the arrow does not always point to the part of the screen where the object is. That being said, once you've gotten used to it, it becomes pretty simple and practical.

strange theres a delay for it hitting the UK... everythings already in english.

jesus, look at the size of the cage compared to the rabbit, that's gotta be animal cruelty right there?

looks pretty good tho, not gonna be in any rush to buy it, but when it makes it to the UK i'll definately be renting it.

"The game has different release dates depending on the country due to differing production and localization time frames". That's what we were told a few weeks ago.
