Thank god for that! I saw the current-gen shots at TeamXbox and got a bit worried! The Render looks nice, lets hope they bump up the animation and AI by a similar degree :)

I'm hoping this game will be as awesome as the others but this time for next-gen. The graphics don't matter that much to me, the gameplay matters alot!

All that matters to me is that they get widescreen support in, which they'll have to for this obviously. Loving the Pro-Evo 5 on my 360 but it's annoying having to waste 1/3 of my HDTV when playing it.

One of the few occasions where just a port would do but I have a feeling we'll get a bit more than that. PES has always been about AI and gameplay.

nextgen pro evo is a must have. I have fifa 06 WC and while it seemed ok at first, its so buggy and frustrating. And it just doesnt feel refined at all. Shooting seems so random its like you have no real control. Hopefully pro evo wont lose any charm in its nextgen outing.

Next-gen looks awesome, PES has never been about the still visuals but the animation and gameplay.

That 'render' is nothing too impressive. Render implies that it's not real time from the game and is an artist impression. Considering that I was very surprised to see such square looking forearms. Look at the bandages, the arms appear to be octagons, which look very weird.

Fortunately for Konami PES has always been about the gameplay above all else. Hopefully they will get the netcode right this year and I'll still be playing it the same time the year after.

It's the lighting and shadows isn't it that changes so much?

I was playing Fight night 3 and i noticed how much of a difference the lighting creates, the shadows and effective lighting just makes the models so graphically good to look at.. take away the lightiing and shadows and it would be plain characters like DOA

The render looks good never the less, too bad i'm not into football

The gameplay might kick FIFA's ass, which is really all that matter, but the next-gen "render" is horrible. Look at his arms and his hairline. Also, is that supposed to be sweat? FIFA might look like plastic dolls, but it looks nicer than this. Still, in a football game, gameplay is all that matters.
