Man, OG Mass Efect was such a magical time to be a rpg, sci-fi opera fan at the same time. The true tatical roots and space faring clash, albeit diluted in its vision, were such a fine pillar, all thrown away for the focus of cheese dating-sim and dudebro shooting.
Alan wake is just unique. a game about true focus on atmospheric light, almost reaping its engine years of development of actually faking the raytracing benefits on lighting, almost no outdoors game after and before raytracing/global illumination has the same look.
