As we now know when Alan Wake is going to be released, Remedy can start showing us more about the game on a regular basis. Today, they sent us a batch of new images of the game. Needless to say how high the expectations are on this one after such a long time in the making, but given the studio's previous games, it is hard not to get carried away and be very confident.
Update: The images being available on several sites, here they are again.

Thank god there are some European developers out there spicing up things a bit ;p
Commented on 2010-02-17 14:49:17Apart from that, this seems uber-awesome, do have reservations on the anti-aliasing front though, don't know if these screens are touched up or not, but its what we've been seeing all along 5 years... same cliff, same car, same timber, same guy with a gun... I mean is this single valley all thats what have they been working on all along, perfecting each scene?
More so, as Driftwood pointed out above, my recently risen question has more merit by the day... what extra mile would we see Remedy will be going to express their such long-term development? Physics? interactive water or vegetation?, level of destruction?... all these extensive features are yet to be shown... for one thing Remedy told in recent interview that they gimped sandbox in favor of atmosphere, OK probably good for the game so what else is there... really excited to know, yes, expectations are very, very high!

Commented on 2010-02-18 11:59:54http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/alan-wake-hands-... - just posted this on the "whats up" section, but it's worth putting it here too as it shows some new gameplay footage and talks indepth of their hands on experience. Mentioning the way the camera is used as a particular "trump card"

add some blurriness because of upscaling to 720p
add aliasing and dithering
and you have the actual graphics...

Enjoy your day

I prefer that the game controls and reacts like a gamer's game, than akward tank controls and seuqences (Silent Hillish or that scene where he goes on and the door opens, and not a stupied quick time event to just open the door). this is a little less but sill much a loose "sequel" to max payne in a
open world, as Heavy Rain is more to Indigo prophecy. And that is where the true resemblence lies.
