Yea but that demo was a couple months old the day it was released and that was back in may so chances are the demo was from at least March...now its July so im sure they have made some improvements to the graphics and the engine by now..i mean what else would they have been doing?

they have said thers going to be a new demo thats much improved they listened to peoples complaints apparently and tried to counter them with the new demo.. so lets hope this results in a new demo and final game thats much more brushed and touched up :)

Cause the cars themselves look amazing in the screenshots... but then again in the garage in pgr3 they looked sheerly amazing beyond believe as well lol... If they can get the environmental rendering up this will rock...

Hey remember its 40$

How can somebody complain on these shots? Looks good to me, this is just what is wrong today, people worship graphics over gameplay. Good graphics, we can forgive this and that here. Graphics build the hype, graphic is the first thing "mr.know-it-all's" judge.

Graphics are there to complement gameplay and bring the gamelife, but they arent self-purpose for games.

thinks of buying wii...

Sad to see them put this much effort into a game then fall flat on their face at the last mile. Alfa Romeo is an excellent likeness; designed with sexy italian style but renowned for technical unreliability.

I hope for the best and expect the worst. The demo was bold and pretty decent but technically flawed. Made me feel their engine would be better used in a game like Oblivion.

guy above: if you think Alfa Romeo is David Romero then buy some car mags :D

yes, it is stupid that you non US people get charged more than double what it costs us. Also, i am a believer of gameplay>graphics, these are nice, they more than do their job, and if the gameplay is what I expect it to be it should be great. and, all you jaggy polygon people out there, AA and AF would be some of the last things to be implemented into the game, liek after it is completed, which it is not at this point, and wouldnt that take care of many of your complaints about graphics?

Nah actually sharp "shapes" mean there isn't enough triangles to describe the shape. It's not about AA but their modeling style and allowed polycount for each car. It's low, certainly less round than the PGR3 cars, but like you said they do serve their purpose so I suppose it's okay... I'm a car modeler and I notice those little things, I suspect average consumers won't notice* :)

*except LEBATO that is :P

I model too, though not for profession, or professionally. Every now and then, more of a hobby of mine(more of like lowpoly modeling, but I do highpoly ones now and then). But I have some knowledge about modeling for games, you can't get too high with your polycount. It's easy to stuff them around for 1 high-poly carmesh, but what if you are supposed to +50 of those, keep on schedule(it ain't that fast to model a highpolycount mesh, or not atleast for me), ensure they do not cross polycount restrictions(for example when you see many cars on the screen same time). It just aint exactly the same.

BUT I agree that graphics are _important_, they just aint the MOST important thing on the list.

I know that with 360 they could do better, but for me those models are quite good and serve their purpose. http://images.xboxyde.com/gallery/public/3778/783_... - this in motion, it will look great. What I am more concerned that they'll have it all balanced out, that it is FUN to play.

So does this new car fix the problem with that game sucking and that it's controls, graphics, and physics were horrible in the demo?

I hope this Alfa car fixes all of those problems.

Too bad it's DOUBLE the price it's in America cause I would've bought it if it was only 39 euro... And then they complain that there is too much piracy but they create the problems themself.
