Images PC Xbox 360 PS3

About a year and a half after being announced, Alice: Madness Returns is finally back with some exciting new images and artworks. Just like in 2000, American McGee is in charge of this sequel so we can expect his personal, spooky and twisted vision of Lewis Caroll's novel to be back. Let's hope we can find out more in Cologne.
Update: CG trailer added.

it's no looker, but i really liked the first one on PC. it had a burton-esque style to it that i loved. american mcgee doesnt exactly have a great track record tho, producting some of the most boring games i played last gen (scrapland and bad day LA) and from a purely gameplay point of view, even alice wasnt all that amazing either, it was the style that sold it. i dunno, we'll see i guess.

Technically? No not so impressive but it still looks mighty good if you ask me. The first game was enjoyable if nothing else for teh fact that it took teh already twisted tale of Alice in Wonderland and added all sorts of macabre elements to it...to see it with better graphics is just great to me :)

i think it looks really nice. But i also think it wont look half as pretty as those pics.

Atleast it's not going to be based on the recent terrible movie

If the color and art are that great throughout then the game will look gorgeous. Games don't have to be a powerhouse of textures and polygons to be a beautiful looking game. Team ICO prove that all the time.

Graphics look kinda interesting to me but I'm tired of exploiting classic books for the new age media. Especially if it's a re-imagination by someone else than the original author. I don't want the classics to be twisted to something like this regardless if it's gonna be a good game or not. What's coming next, an evil little mermaid?

The original Alice is a far cry from The Little Mermaid...

I think the game looks great. I don't know why people think the game looks like shit technically. I mean it's no Crysis, but your probably looking at a console game. It looks on par with games like Batman: AA (which is like 80% detail textures) and Gears, which seems just fine when you consider how the art style is going to effect the general realism of the graphics. I don't see terribly muddy textures, blurry or jagged edges, or janky lighting.
I loved the old Alice game, I really hope they do well with this. The art style looks great, but maybe a little toned down? Hopefully they do right by the name.

We must be blind LOL

But yeah the art and the general look of it is very awesome,I just hope for good gameplay even if it is not great but good enough to compliment this sick art design.
