I totally agree. With all that Uncharted/Avatar-esque tech you would think that the end result would be better than these stiff talking manuequins

Ouch, I'm sorry but you're blind lol.

Not saying there aren't games with better models (because there are, quite a few actually). But this looks FAR from crap.

Gamers are setting their standards way too high.

This is a cross gen game, meaning that it's going to have cross gen rigging regardless of whatever tech they are using to capture animations. It looks far from crap anyway. Simple as that, really.

I think it´s fucking amazing. Characters look great and I can´t be hyped more. Love that deep deep and depressing atmosphere.

The facial animation may not be cutting edge, but from those small segments the cinematic & acting both seem to be very good. I am getting excited that story telling in this game might actually come together pretty well.

Facial animations are a bit ropey, but the visuals themselves are awesome. Great skin shaders.

So psyched for this game.

I recently read somewhere that breeders today grow their hemp with THC levels 17 times stronger then by the end of the 60's. Any truth to that ? I thought (and also read) it was all made-up BS, but after reading your comments i'm not so sure anymore...

I like how it looks but that "mad humans on the station" idea is kinda frightening (in a bad way) to me. Hope they won't fail the overall atmosphere of the Alien setting with this one.

Character and animations look pretty crap?? OMG D Those facial animations are not the best in videogames, but the models are pretty good, with nice skin shaders.

Animations are pretty lacking, but they aren't bad. It is in alpha still so who knows, maybe they have yet to fully implement that performance capture.

The facial animations are indeed a bit stiff, but overall this looks like a game worth waiting for and, hopefully, a game the Alien franchise deserves. One thing the devs cannot overcome though, is the fact that everybody already knows how the Alien looks, moves, acts and what it is. The fear of the unknown, grotesque creature that we felt while watching the first movie cannot be brought back...

It looks great, I can't understand the complaints and it's one of the more promising games in the forthcoming months, I really hope it will deliver.

Yeah, character animations/believability is just not there. We've seen the best there is out there. This seems to be a total challenge for developers for some reason. Half Life 2 did something special, and we had to wait what 10 years or so for The Last of Us to come out and really make that big step.

The bar's been set, please don't make us wait another 10 years.
