DjMizuhara is on a roll here as he's captured some videos of the Alien vs Predator PS3 demo. The first video shows the introduction and some gameplay as an alien and a predator. A second video will follow shortly to show you what it's like to be a marine trapped with some deadly creatures.

Oh man those one hit kill things seem to take forever! there's practically a queue building up of people in a line killing the next person :S

The games awesome...DAY 1 for me. I had so much fun fighting as the marine against the Aliens and Predators... grenades and flame throwers FTW! :D Also, it helps if U turn off the marines light on his weapon.

in multiplayer are some state Alien is better at killing the predator the predator at killing marines and the marines at killing alien .. but over all the Alien and the marine are the best if you prefer HALO action then you should pick the marine if you like Splinter Cell then the Alien

thats pretty much spot on though..amount of times i've died from "grab" killing somebody else.

Anyway, demo deleted now. Had a private team deathmatch and it was still pretty rubbish. Can't fake interest in this when BBC2 is out the same time

One thing I can agree on is that the kill moves are very slow. They should be fast and brutal, the enemy dont know what hit them.
That way, when you are in killing animation people cant kill you, or get the chance.

I felt the Predator was a bit overpowered when playing the demo. If you played smart, you could easily wipe the floor with Marines and Aliens.

Gears had the same problem with the chainsaw. You'd get done ripping a guy in half only to be pulled into someone else's chainsaw.

just push one of the attack buttons after grab someone and you kill them fast, but without one of those brutal and nice animations ;)

Then there is no point. The cool stuff is the actual finishing moves :)

But to be honest, I dont mind dying, as long as I can do a brutal kill is fine by me.

Below average dare I say. I loved the old AVP games but Rebellion really dropped the ball remaking something that should have been a solid AAA title instead of something i'll buy in the used games bin.

i can't imagine you're going to have to wait very long before it reaches a bargain bin either. i can imagine this being a bit of an overlord 2, dropped to about £10 within a month.

I love when people do that, i just run up to their side and swipe them both at the same time with light attacks, boom, 2 kills in a second or two instead of joining the queue.

I cant believe how many of you think its average though lol, i think this game is absolutely spectacular. Far more impressed by this than i was with the BC2 demo.
The PC demo sucked though, as expected.

I completely agree, I find these multi only demos to be really pointless, it's almost like the dev admitting the single player is bad, hardly confidence inspiring.

I played online for a while but when I lost interest it seemed to extend to all games, single player is still the most important aspect to me even though it is seemingly overlooked by many devs these days.

I take it you've never tried any of the multiplatform games the past 2 years? :P
The pc version is somewhat inferior in "feel", feels less polished, a bit sluggish mouse movements, great graphics but no anti-aliasing option (UE3 syndrome, its 2010 and starting to get a bit ridiculous)

I don't really understand how it felt less polished, and my mouse movements were just fine. The demo isn't very good though. I'm not sure how the console version could be any better.
