Developer Diary PC Xbox 360 PS3

Sega sent us this new Aliens vs Predator developer diary about the game's multiplayer component. We are about as far as possible from Sega's "Blue Sky", but it still looks quite interesting.

Still on the way but after this. This was announced after CM but is getting released before it and SEGA/Obsidian canned the Aliens RPG that was planned which sucks (was really interested in how they'd tackle that concept).

Condemned 1 and 2 didn't make you jump?! Or have you not played them?

The only thing I don't like, is how inorganic the jumping is for the predator :(...

Yeah I agree on that shit. I don't like that at all. Maybe that was their cheap way of giving balance to the Predator.

The jump looks kind of funny, but I think I like it more than giving him just an uber jump.

Ah that looks good.
I was disappointed that axed the RPG though… that would have been interesting. That could have turned out as something really special.
And it kind of sucks that they trying to blackmail the community a little by saying “AVP needs to be success full or we have to reconsider Colonial Marines”.
But AvP looks promising none the less.

This looks really interesting to me. The gameplay for the aliens will make or break multiplayer I'm guessing, but if done right I can see the three way battle being a very fun dynamic. Let's hope they figure out a good balance and we should have some serious fun on our hands.
