Preordered but going to play this on Saturday anyway at EGX. Arkham combat in an open world and enemies that react back to your actions is awesome sounding to me.

Epic trailer plus super positive reviews and mentions of something being truly next-gen not because of some E3 demo but an actual, finalized game? HELL YES.

But also mentioned in the early reviews: very repetitive missions, the likes of 'go there, kill that boss, rinse and repeat'.
I'm waiting for that 1 next-gen open world game, where missions are memorable like in more linear games. I don't see why that is something devs are having so much problems with. It's like all time is spent on creating the open world, and missions are thrown in at the end of development. GTA tries it's best at doing that. But still doesn't get there.
It's simple, that level of "uniqueness", custom crafted missions from more linear games are precisely that, custom crafted by teams. To have that in a big open world game would mean hundreds (if not thousands) of people working on building each quest and subquest by hand, every single time. It's just not feasible anytime soon.

The lead character though could have been better, otherwise game looks epic

Thats pretty much what 99% of the videos they kept releasing contained of and i didnt see any variety in both environment nor missions, hence i dont understand the hype for it at all.

You mean you dont like the generic fantasy character were the main character has decent long hair and a boring stubble, and has the vibe of "aragorn" just because? lol
