Not only is Alone in the Dark making its return but Atari too. This new episode will feature a first person perspective, four playable characters with different abilities and a co-op mode. Alone in the Dark: Illumination will be released this fall exclusively on PC, at least for now.

Commented on 2014-09-01 21:23:02btw these in-game screens looks like crap. Enemy design is super generic.
Commented on 2014-09-01 21:35:14Then again, has Alone in the dark been any good since like...after the first game? :P

And the game does not look nearly as bad as people are making out. It looks fine. Screenshots only show a fraction of a game anyway, so judging based on that is just silly.

Commented on 2014-09-02 16:53:18And as someone said before it is funny that a game called "Alone in the dark" is co-op.
My expectations are quite low so hopefully it won't disappoint me.

If it looks bad, it's because the devs didn't have the means, the money, the time, and/or the interest to make it look better. These are things that won't change with time and hardware. There will always be ugly games.
