PC Xbox 360

Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of Illuminus is the first expansion of the action-RPG game from Sega, which had made quite the commotion in the online world for the Dreamcast then the GameCube with its Phantasy Star Online titles. Awaited on PC, Playstation 2 and Xbox 360, it will only be offered on the Xbox Live Marketplace for the latter (1200 points - November 20th) while other gamers will benefit from a disc version. Those living in Europe will have to wait until the end of the year before being able to discover all the new stuff.

It may look cool, but I tried the demo and it was so horrible. The animations suck.

Ace: there is a bit of a difference in scope here though. WoW (wich isn't particularly impressive if you ask me) has a huge world with no loading times except for in the beginning. PSU has small cramped environments with loading times in between every level. The thing is that PSU was originally developed for PS2, which explains the crappy graphics.

phantasy start universe was actually a port form the ps2, which it was originally developed for. so i assume the expansion pack would be made with last gen hardware also

It's not an MMO, it's like Monster Hunter (which subsequently is like Phantasy Star Online; even the netcode AFAIK is shared). Monster Hunter is a considerably better game in every single respect; graphics, gameplay, etc. I'm not so sure why Sega still tries, PSU was a failure in every respect, and that's coming from a diehard PSO lover.
