Are those actual screenshots or are they some how edited? Cause they look horrible. Almost better to get an emulator and some roms......

"The collection will include enhanced versions". By that they mean a hideous blur/eagle filter over the top.

These should just be released as super cheap XBLA games, not stuck on a disc.

so when they say "enhanced" they actually mean "blurred beyond all recognition" seriously. those look terrible. and once again, they're throwing out the SAME games we've had on previous mega drvie collection discs.

if they took some time to re-draw the sprites instead of applying a "cutout" and "blur" filter, then i'd be well up for this. but as it stands. i'd rather just play these games on my actual megadrive, or even my PSP.

Gaah, blurtastic. The one thing that annoyed me about the XBLA versions of Sonic and Streets of Rage is the effin bilinear blur filter. Games like Duke3D had the sense to do it right, give an option between crystal clear pixels and blur to the liking of the user.

Sega has yet to have an emulator compilation that didnt have outrageous blur. The Xbox1 sega collections were pretty much unplayable at 480p.

The games looked far better on my 1985 28" CRT using the RGB cable on an original euro Megadrive.

Blur = no buy.

Lol i just have to say before i go to sleep 4 tonight after 2h in End War (that owns btw):P

That LOL i remember when i played Eco the dolphin with those gfx (nott the blur tho) and i was like, MOM look at Those GFX! its so REAL hahahahahahaah
And she was like hmmm yea...

And now when i showed here Kz2 she said: When do the game begin? and i was like WtF? I said: That IS the game hahahah.

The point is (that about kz2 was NO flamebate) that the gfx in games have moved along so mutch so you neraly getting a little Tear in your eye.

And i wonder how the gfx will look in 12-15 years.
I be be 40 tho, but i can still promise you one thing. I will STILL be playing :P

Yepp. I also played SNES and all, but when I first saw Super Mario on N64 I was like Wuuuuuuaaaaaaaaaaaat?!

And that was maybe ten years ago.

Today when I look at GoW2 and KZ2, I begin to sweat when I even dare thinking of the next gen...

Thing is GoW isn't really a game that in my opinion will revolutionize the aspect you are talking about. I think games like Half Life 1 and 2, Mirror's Edge, Fall Out 3, etc. are games where people will be immersed by and make people really feel like actually being in an interactive movie/story....

I do think Gow2 looks gorgeous though....

The graphic will be the same but with some small changes in the way you controll the game. Just look at wii and the rumor about PS4 (almost the same power as PS3).

I loved the Shinobi in this collection, along side the first NG on NES.
Remember I had a emulator on PC and I found this and played it with my 360 controller, was so good!

Too bad they didnt enhanced the visuals like POP Classic or Bionic Commando.

Damneth Thou Sega!

Some of the best games from your best times abound and I kept waiting all along to get to play "Streets_of_Rage"series and "Sonic_3D_Blast" on my PS2___ it never happened. I got the latest collection only for the original Sonic but nothing else great was there.

Now I have to buy a full Blu-Ray to play these 4 games. Not that its a complain on games part, Streets of Rage 1 alone is priceless, and I'd pay anything to be able to play that again in 720p and Sonic3D-Blast is yet another nostalgiac story.......but Sega could have done that years ago, they know people will buy it so they are capitalizing on it.

That's what I call good news as an avid SEGA lover ... too bad there's no Gunstar Heroes, Batman & Robin or HardWired included ... Treasure and Zyrinx (Clockwork Tortoise later on) were in a league of their own ... hehehe

Sigh... they probably have people who think upscaling DVDs to 1080p makes them look better making these 'enhancements'.

Oh this place isn't immune to flame wars and has its fair share. It's just better moderated most of the time. Boulet Time FTW.

Anyways, welcome and enjoy your stay. =)
