Vivendi today announced Robert Ludlum’s The Bourne Conspiracy, to be released in summer 2008. The game will be developed by High Moon Studios (Darkwatch), and will be based on both the book and film The Bourne Identity aswell as on new content from Ludlum Entertainment. More info will be revealed during E3, but you'll find the first images here.

These images look from a very early build, but a good start. I hope they stick more to the book as opposed to the movie. The book was absolutely awesome, while the movie was a little bit of a disappointment..

I thought this was suppose to be based on the movies...he doesn't look like Matt Damon at all.
Looking forward to seeing more of this, could become a great game.

This could become something good. But I don't think the devs will grab this oppurtinity to make something good out of it.

Hmmm, putting a gun in Bourne's hand takes away some of his tactical brilliance.

But I would love a game that expanded upon the Treadstone and Medusa years of Bourne's past.

qft, only Ludlum conversion which i am eager to wait is Conviction

but really Ludlum is probablly one of the most underated writers of all time; as a kid i was compulsive reader of his books, his narattive is fantastic, the way how he creates tension, and he has a great flair for secrecy and espionage and how rich clans and families shape the modern politics and media, even through muders and violence; he likes this super ultra fast action, which end even before anybody noticed that something happened

I believe that design is based more off the books description. Not 100% sure though, since I haven't read the book :p

Man I wonder what it feels like to be a dev working on this game, what a burden. such high expectations, also movie games dont have a very good track record (except Riddick)

About those shots, they look kinda early, Im not looking forward to this though.. im more interested in new franchises.

you cant exactly make a game more then 50% based on the book or it would suck. if you want to keep the player away from being bored you have to sacrifice a lot of book parts to add more action.

This reminds me of the Mission Impossible game. Hopefully, this is better...alot better. I love the Bourne series and can't wait to see Ultimatum.
