PS3

Well, imagine that. Nothing about Heavenly Sword for months, and 2 videos in 2 days. How strange is that? :) Anyway, this time we get to see the motion capture work that has been done for the game, and also some pretty cool gameplay and realtime cutscenes.
Update: WMV version available in case you want to watch this on a 360.

Thats a really cool insight into how they create all those fantastic realtime cutscenes.

I also like how different the whole 'this is living' theme sony has. It's so off-beat its almost genius. There is all sorts of talk on the net about the ads being STRANGE and weird (oh and RUBBISH)... but that always creates interest and attention, regardless of the opinions... the campaign works in pulling you in... by talking about it, you are acknowledging its existence... therefore, promoting the product in a creative way.

That was really cool, noticed some framerate issues though, which may be why it's being delayed so much. Either way, the game looks great, with very smooth animation.

Well, the game has only reached the alpha build just recently (every feature is now implemented into the game), and they'll only now begin to polish the game and balancing the difficulty level. So expect the framerate-problems to be smoothened out of the game, and maybe even some graphical improvements (see: Motorstorm Fall 2006 -> Motorstorm March 2007). I don't expect the release to be too far off, either (maybe in Summer 2007). I mean, Motorstorm has been or will be released right about now, and the next big exclusive from Sony will be LAIR in May. But what about Summer? They've got to have some games for Summer, and remember God of War was released in Summer (at least in Europe, don't know about the US), and it was a million seller. So they can't use the "we can't release a game in the Summer, it wouldn't sell" excuse.

I drooled a little bit the entire time I watched it. By far my most anticipated game for the PS3 right now.

I love this game...

WMV is screwed up on mine. It restarts at a certain point and it won't let me choose where in the video I want to skip. Bad download? I'll try again.

Mine doesn't restart, but it doesn't let you choose the play point.

That looks amazing. I hope sony takes notice that its quality exclusives like this that sells systems. This game truly is the Goddess of War. Can you imagine the super children she and Kratos would have?........Scary. :p

Some of the graphics look amazing and other bits look a bit last gen, but I love the bit where she piledrives a guy into the floor and just steps off him. :D

haha, yeah that part does look wicked! :)

I guess my codecs do need an update. The mp4 plays fine for a bit, then the video halts and skids while the audio plays without problems. Was a brilliant looking video still though, which must say alot of the quality of the game.
