Arma 2 is finally available, and the lunatics who sleep squeezing M4 against them and who know by heart all the moving parts of an Abrams tank can now enjoy the new war simulator from Bohemia Interactive. To celebrate the release of the game, here is a new trailer, listing all its main features.

I look forward to giving it a fair shake.
I'm very interested to know how the AI works and if games can start to lose the scripted-sequence crutch for dynamically adaptive AI. Especially in the trailer they say that there are no set objectives for each battle? That's true "open-ended" gameplay, huh?

If you are running/driving/being driven through a safe zone then don't hesitate to use the - and = keys to change the timescale up to 4x to make it a lot quicker.
The best advice I can give is stay low and if bullets start flying at you stay even lower and find cover.

not my type of game tho, i appreciate realism from a visual perspective, but too much of it in terms of gameplay just sucks away all the fun.
Going to have a real good go on it 2night as i have played it at the weekend which is my 3days of boozing bliss ;D
Supposedly the original game has its merits, but the demo was shit. Hopefully they release a better demo this time around. Hopefully they included some of the improvements from the patch too, since they delayed it to get that out it seems. I hope it releases early this week.. it will only be about a week late :/
Anyway, anyone know a good mirror for the demo? My inet is crazy slow! :(
