Epic today released their fankit for Gears of War, including nothing special of interest. Except this awesome artwork! You can see it in maximum resolution to see all the great details, or just check out the normal resolution version. There was also some weapon renders in there I don't think are old, including the chainsaw gun.

I remember Cliffy saying he didn't want lots of gimmicky weapons, just a handful that do their intended job properly.

So that probably means the game will feature something like 2 assault rifles (I see 2 on the screens), a shotgun, a sniper rifle and a rocket/grenade launcher.

I hope the recent rumors on the release date are true: I heard some things about a sudden september release date!

i'd imagine there would be a knife that would carry aswell should you run out of ammo. But then again you do have the mounted chainsaw.

Thats what i call hi-res. Shame that first 2 pics aren't very good for desktop backround since they are somthing like 2:4

Resize it to your desktop height and add a black background. Works nicely.

Here my version form slabs pic resized to fit your lcd display and with some "cool" photosop cutout edit :) Kudos to slabs for that nice edit though.

My poor eyes couldn't take that level of detail without a headache so thats why i simplified it with cutout filter :)

ya their a re rumors of a suddent september release to suprise everyone .. others are saying early october... and a few others are saying a week before the ps3 releases LOL

Personally i dont care i just WANT THIS GAME!... Oh and they have said already there will be no demo until after the game is released. They arent gonna spend time on a demo they are spending 24/7 on the game itself.
