The engine is flexible and resolution was always mixed in favour of Aliasing by remedy, I guess.
And the lighting effects on that fireman screen is just amazing oO
Judging from the video, it looked as if the game was running at a true 720p, and overall looks better than the original, which is quite an accomplishment for being a downloadable game. I can't wait for next month! I had never played the original until recently and it pulled me away from Gears 3, Uncharted, Forza 4, Halo, and even WoW.
But yhea, if your are spekig in technical side of things, they could just not bother to improve frame-rate, tearing & resolution for a ownloadable game that has half the time-lenght of the original.
It's shocking how many games fall back on spiders, be they real, mechanical etc. it's like they can't think of anything better. Every other game i play seems to have them.
It swings both ways ofcourse... Amy and other lesser accomplished looking games have survived complete ridicule under the guise of "for a download game"... maybe it would be more fair to class such things as low budget ... or maybe i should get more sleep and leave things that dont need to be ranted about.. it is becoming a pet peeve though for some reason.
As for this.. looks good, but more action less tension. Arcade mode.. great, but the shooting mechanicals werent exactly on par with Gears so dunno how well it's gonna work when the later hordes are coming

i just notice their inclusion in games. they're almost a video game staple. kinda funny. you'd think in a medium where you are not limited in any way you'd get more then just giant versions of real life creatures and yet hear we are again....the 2353526359 game with giant fucking spider...lol
Seems to have Digi_matrix responding with the desired emotion =)
Perhaps the video game industry is collectively trying to cure mankind's arachnophobia ;D

Spiders may be a generic enemy, but they work!
