EA and Dice have finally decided to show us more of the campaign mode of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. After a whole lot of videos focused on the multiplayer side of the game, many were craving to see what the story mode was all about. Here is a new trailer tending to prove that the game will be more serious than the first one - which will certainly be disappointing for some - but that it should be a hell of a ride anyway.

I don't see the point of a SP campaign in a BF game.. All development resources should be spend on a good MP imho, because that's what the whole BF franchise is about..

What are you on?! MW2 is easily one of the best looking games this gen. And that video you showed, doesn't look nearly as good. But that is also an early video, the final game will look alot better... probably on par with MW2.

I was as unimpressed with MW2 as anyone, but visually you can't knock it, especially since it runs at 60fps.

I agree that 60 fps is very impressive but it's not hard if the visuals are toned down. I don't think that MW2 looks good at all.

i think it's fair to say that MW2 does look a touch(and by touch i mean very very little) better that BF...but when you look at everything that is going on in this game on top of the destruction...BF takes the cake there. It's not just shooting through walls or killing chickens...but actually affecting how the game is played. MW2 98.8....BF 98.82

I'd say, "fair enough", if you didn't like the art style, but I can't see how you can knock the visuals from a technical stand point.

this games going to be 60fps too..which is all the more impressive given the visual fidelity.

Most definatly looks graphically superior to MW2 in my eyes..don't forget the frost bite engine allows all that destruction in big open worlds. I just hope the multiplayer comes more polished than MW2 offered - i love MW2 online, but i'm way passed tired of the glitches, hacks, failed host migrations, and common laggy games, i've sampled since it's release.

Not too mention the horrible kill streak awards..
They went for quantity over quality in MW2 if you ask me...
Although If I'm honest I think the co-op spec op mission are great...

spec ops is an awesome addition..it's a shame theres no matchmaking on it as i still havent got all my gold stars.

Killstreak awards i quite like (apart from the nuke) though they are abit over the top. Deathstreaks i thought was a great idea too...especially when you're starting out in the game as matchmaking is worthless in it...so you'll end up constantly dieing till you reach level 10. Deathstreaks offer you atleast a chance, and keep you on the game.

You got a source for that? The Beta defiantly wasn't running at 60FPS...

I'd be impressed if it did considering the size of the maps and the full destruction... etc...

BC1 was a great game to me. Cocky/cheesy story and characters and framerate problems turned me down but this one seems to have worked on those points. I'm firmly interested in this game.

Viginti_Tres, did you play the beta? B/c the beta did not look nearly as good as those pics. Not even close. I think the SP clips they showed look really good though, love the jungle level especially.

I just hope they can make the gun models look better b/c so far they look like trash.

Well, but they also said that the game has come a long way visually since the Beta and we have seen direct feed gameplay already to verify it. It has only two faults in my eyes: The jaggies and the popins. Popins being the most annoying graphical feature.

This stomps MW2, imo( even though that looks great too). I am waay more impressed by Battlefield. Sure, MW2 has 60 fps, but it is practically on rails too. BF BC2 has Huge, open environments with gameplay altering destruction and dynamic lighting/shadows. The sounds are better too, IMO. I'm trying to leave out the play styles because they are going for different things...
