What has me skeptical of this is the fact that it's a new cast, new developer and old tech. I think I'll be waiting for the next-gen Rocksteady release.
I hope that it can repeat AC's success...
hope they make it out well
I get not liking it as much as the first because the story and connectivity of it all wasn't as good as the first, but man, the gameplay was still spot on. I can't imagine anyone hating Arkham City. Pretty fucked up.

Arkham Asylum felt so limited, basically Batman became a CSI investigator going room to room, which was poor and boring and i didnt finish it because of that.
AC wasent open world per-se but it sure felt you could use the grapple and the cape ALOT more and have much more exploration than the claustrophobic AA going room to room, pure boring.
and i enjoyed the flying, it wasent tedious at all since you can keep using the grapple to pull yourself in quicker and jump again, better than the shitty climb, hover abit, climb, hover abit *cough* infamous.
So yeah I agree with you. AC was better in every single way over AA. I just hope Origins follows the same style but better.
But yeah i thought AA was boring compared to AC thats all there is to it for me really.
This one looks pretty neat.

But I love open world games. Making the city bigger sounds amazing to me. I would take a full sized Gotham with drivable Batmobile and Batplane if they could pull it off.
Besides, Batman will get women even if he had beard, as long as they are real women and not girls :P
Proof: Tony Stark.
