Xbox 360

EA keeps releasing two or three new images from Lord of the Rings: Battle For Middle-Earth II each week. This time it's from the same maps that was presented last week. The graphics really fail to impress when the view is zoomed in.

Looks good, basically like the PC version with everything enabled. If the controls are as good as the press keeps bragging on 360 owners are in for a rare treat: a console RTS that does not stink.

On them failing to impress... it is an RTS. Maybe a console based RTS with a really aggressive and advanced LOD scheme where a lot of detail is filled into the characters as you zoom in would be better, but that is not the here and now. Compared to the other RTS games on the market (and the source PC game) it looks solid.

Don't really care about the graphics, anyone who plays a RTS for the graphics is missing the point.

I don't really know if I even care about this title but what I do care about is if EA can finally bring RTS genre games to the console with a control scheme that doesn't suck.

If they can this opens up an entirely new genre of games to the 360 and tons of new gameplay for Live.

Yea..the graphics really aren't bad either..take a peek at Rise of Legends, which isn't even out yet..RTS has never been the place to go for high end graphics.

RTS may not be about graphics but it sure don't hurt for them to look as nice as this ..

Who never watched LOTR and wanted to control that Orc army? I know I did.
Detail looks very good for a RTS.

Yes, the game has nice graphics for an RTS......... but after beauties like Kameo, NNN, and Dead Rising........... this isn't even close to what it *could* be.

I bought this RTS on pc and I regret it since it's coming out for 360. Complain about the graphics all you want, but an RTS is about gameplay boys and girls. Finding an RTS that looks better than a Shooter or Sports game is quite rare actually.
